Up to $25/hour | Maintenance Technician | Weekly Pay!

Position: Maintenance Technician 

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Pay: $22 to $25/hour

Experience: 1–2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in multifamily, residential, commercial, or hospitality settings.

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. EPA/HVAC certification is a plus.

Type: Full-time; Temp to Perm

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift

HH Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a growing and dynamic team!   

Job Description:  

1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout apartment units, common areas, and property grounds.
2. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and other building systems.
3. Complete work orders, preventive maintenance, and apartment make-ready repairs in a timely manner.
4. Respond to resident maintenance requests and emergency service calls with professionalism and good customer service.
5. Conduct property inspections and address maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and equipment issues.
6. Perform general repairs including painting, drywall, carpentry, flooring, and fixture replacement.
7. Assist with maintaining the property’s pools, landscaping, irrigation, and other community amenities as needed.
8. Maintain accurate records of completed work, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
9. Coordinate with vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are required.
10. Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory and keep maintenance areas clean and organized.

Position Requirements:    

1. Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general building maintenance.
2. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
3. Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team.
4. Strong communication and customer service skills.
5. Ability to prioritize work orders and manage multiple tasks.
6. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
7. Availability to participate in an on-call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
